  Psychiatric, Psychological & Neuropsychological IMEs

Most referrals are scheduled in less than 48 hours and many on the same day. Psychological or neuropsychological (cognitive) testing is available when indicated and requested. Professional assistance for help in determining specialty needs and testing requirements is available for no additional charges.

All reports are peer reviewed before submission to ensure they meet our high forensic standards and must include: an informed consent statement; a full listing of all records reviewed; a summary of all test result scores and scales; detailed responses to all referral questions; and a formal examiner attestation before the signature.

Available for disability, no-fault, workers compensation (including New York State), liability, and fitness for duty cases.

  Motivational and Effort Testing

Also sometimes referred to as "malingering" testing, motivational and effort testing is available only in mental and nervous IME cases. It is typically performed by either a clinical psychologist or neuropsychologist. FHIPA will advise clients regarding the type of testing required and its estimated scope and costs.

Available for disability, no-fault, workers compensation (including New York State), liability, and fitness for duty cases.

Fitness for Duty Evaluations for EAPs and Businesses

Examiners in the specialty areas of psychiatry, psychology, and neuropsychology are available throughout the continental United States. A professional consultant is also available at no additional charge to advise clients regarding the need for psychological or cognitive testing.

Examiners must carefully follow medico-legal assessment protocols as well as FHIPA's comprehensive fitness for duty report writing guidelines. A Quick Response Form is also provided to clients on the same day of the evaluation stating whether the examinee is fit to return to work.

  Peer Reviews & Consulting

Includes a full listing of all records reviewed and detailed professional reporting on areas such as diagnostic validity, treatment efficacy and appropriateness, functionality in the reviewer's specialty area, analysis of raw data, assessment of symptom severity according to both obkective and subjective sources, back-to-work prognosis, and recovery potential.

Depending on the reported diagnosis, reviews are conducted by either a licensed psychiatrist, psychologist, or neuropsychologist. Care giver consultations will also be performed when authorized.

Available for disability, no-fault, workers compensation (including New York State), liability, and fitness for duty cases.
